Personality
I am a friendly, positive person who loves to teach and learn. I love meeting new people and getting to know them. I can be talkative, but I am also a good listener. As a tutor, I like to get to know my students so I can tend to their personal needs and interests. I always strive to make the tutoring experience meaningful and enjoyable for each student. I try to create a relaxed, positive, and focused learning environment. In addition to helping students achieve their academic goals and develop learning skills, I want my students to gain confidence, love learning, reach their full potential, and feel good about themselves and their learning journey.
Biography (tutoring history)
I have been studying education in Queen’s University’s Concurrent Education program since 2017. I completed my Bachelor of Arts with a major in English and a minor in French in April of 2021 and I will complete my Bachelor of Education in 2022. I have experience teaching French and other subjects to children and young adults ages 4 through 19. My experience includes working at French and English immersion camps, one-on-one tutoring to high school students, and this past year I taught intermediate French tutorials to first-year university students entirely in French over Zoom. I am always looking forward to engaging with new and diverse learners. I am continuously developing my own skills as an educator.
